These are just a few of the comments from this year 's awardee 's nominations:
I believe this faculty member has exemplified the Benedictine value of hospitality as she always welcomes me to come into her office and talk. She extends compassion and empathy, carrying her holistic nursing qualities into the lives of her students, caring for us academically and personally. She has been an excellent nursing instructor, clearly explaining the material and offering prompt feedback to her students. She is respectful and kind, which has always made me feel comfortable coming to her as a CSS faculty.
This faculty member deserves to win a DAISY award because she is everything a great nurse should be. She goes above and beyond. She exemplifies our Benedictine values and should be recognized for the great light she brings to the nursing program and to the college!
