EKU Nursing Student, Ron Adams, was nominated by a nursing faculty member for providing exceptional care for a patient receiving palliative care services. Ron provided exceptionally compassionate care, going above and beyond to ensure the patient?s comfort while also attending to the needs of the patient?s spouse and daughter, showing tremendous empathy, therapeutic communication, and establishing a very trusting and caring environment. He encouraged the family to talk and share memories, which resulted in heartwarming smiles and special moments. Ron made a lasting impact for this family.  Congratulations Ron Adams!
