Tara was nominated by several students who consistently stated her ability to provide a safe environment to learn and to decrease the fears of clinical. One student stated, "I feel safe with her leading me and see her as an inspiration as what I strive to be when I become a nurse." Students spoke of being challenged to learn more and to critically think when providing care. "She was always pushing us to learn and do more and really "use our nursing brains", but she was always there for us if we had questions or felt unsure about something." Tara exhibited behaviors that left a powerful impact on the students, evidenced by this student statement, "As I watch her interact with other nurses and health care professionals on the floor, I am able to witness firsthand how the hospital works together and how communication is key. She displays compassion and professionalism with all patients and personnel." A trend in the nominations Tara received was she consistently goes above and beyond, is an exceptional role model, and inspires students to be the best they can possible be. Congratulations Tara!!
