Tashia discovered a patient who was trapped in the elevator after leaving her clinic appointments. She quickly notified the manager, remained outside the elevator, and reassured the patient that help was on the way. The patient stated, "Tashia was such an angel to me! She called me on my cell phone while I was stuck and encouraged me to take deep breaths to stay calm. She stayed on the phone with me for at least 30 minutes during this stressful time. Following the incident, I was given cool water and time to collect myself. I was also assisted to my car which made me feel safe."
It is no surprise that Tashia went out of her way to ensure the safety of the patient; she is always willing to jump in when needed and does a great job making patients feel safe and valued.
