Josef was pulled from his regular floor to care for patients such as myself. I was admitted to the hospital to rule out COVID-19 and I had an infection. With the finesse and the patience of a Registered Nurse (RN) with more than his years, Josef was able to build a great rapport with me. His commitment to an individual patient was second to none. Also, it was very nice, while in isolation, to have Josef understand the loneliness that goes with this situation. He went out of his way to spend more time with me to help me adjust to the sudden loss of visitors...
It takes an RN with compassion to understand the loneliness patients are feeling during this present pandemic, it is a very isolating situation.
Josef was completely cognizant of the medical issues we are fighting as well as the sudden mental issue thrust upon us caused by this forced isolation. He made my time of ruling out COVID more palatable. Josef is the RN to go to when you need to be uplifted.
