Amber comforted and soothed me. I just felt like giving up, I was in pain, crying, and fed up with the doctors and everyone.
I've been here at Norton's for over a week, I had become depressed and sad, scared and just ready to give up, but Amber wouldn't let me. Amber is my night nurse and sat with me on my bed and held my hand while rubbing my arm and back. She comforted and soothed me. I just felt like giving up, I was in pain, crying, and fed up with the doctors and everyone. Amber advocated for me and stepped up and fought for me when there was nothing I could do. When she couldn't get any answers she went higher up and spoke with people above the on-call doctors. She did not treat me as a patient, she treated me as a person who was in need of help, care, compassion, love, support, and a friend. She's a wonderful person with a great attitude and as a Nurse, she has an excellent bedside manner. I'm very grateful to have had Amber as my nurse. I am also grateful and honored to call her a friend. I think Amber is a DAISY Nurse for her work and for just being "her" and pushing me to get better.
