Jennifer gathered the nursing team and decided to help our patient get out of her depressive funk and set up an outdoor picnic with a friend.
Jennifer took care of one of our spine patients who arrived in agonizing pain with results concluding in an inoperable tumor. The patient remained in pain throughout her stay and received the terrible news of cancer at such a young age. All this while in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic resulting in little to no mental and emotional support from her friends and family due to limited visitation.
Jennifer gathered the nursing team and decided to help our patient get out of her depressive funk and set up an outdoor picnic with a friend. Additionally, the team bought her a stethoscope charm to add to her charm bracelet that she never removed. The patient was extremely excited for the team going above and beyond to help her feel comfortable and keep her spirits high, she is forever attached to the caring nursing team that helped her during this trying time. This patient was soon transferred to another facility for further treatment, but the team still maintains contact and receives updates regarding her status. The patient's prognosis is poor, but this team went above and beyond to make sure that what is likely her end of life was an exceptional experience.
