I was preparing my dinner at 4:45 pm when my doctor told me to get to the ER stat. So I waited in the waiting room for 5 hours waiting to be seen. It was freezing in the waiting area. I had nothing to drink or eat since noontime. After being seen from the 3rd shift I had asked Shawnna Gannon for a coffee at around 1 am. Told her I hadn't eaten all day, so she made me a sandwich. I was so pleased after not eating since noon the previous day. It was great to have food in my belly. She was checking on me about every 20 minutes. She is amazing. I wish people knew how much I appreciated it. Also, she is very caring about her patients. Wish I could actually see her all the time. Shawnna also got me off the uncomfortable ER bed and she went out of her way to get me a hospital bed. She is the best. Thank you so much. I never had a nurse like you.
