Ashley was the best nurse that my husband and I have ever encountered. She was friendly and thorough. Especially during COVID times with extra regulations and not being able to spend the night here with my husband, she always filled me in on his night. She explained every medicine that she gave him each time that she came in. She told us how long it would take and when she would be back again, but never left before being sure that we didn't need anything else. If we had a question, she answered it willingly, and if she wasn't sure of the answer off the top of her head, she looked in his chart at the doctor's notes to get it for us. One of the days that she was with us, my husband's medications kept her quite busy. On top of having other patients, she always came in with a smile and never made us feel like we were bothering her or that she was in a rush. She made the hospital feel as close to home as she could during one of the hardest times of our life. It is obvious that nursing is her calling!
