Jennifer spent approximately 8 hours per patient for each of 11 patients in the study over a 4 week period in addition to doing her RN clinic duties in the Women's Health clinic at WB.
Jennifer has worked tirelessly on a new study that has been completed in conjunction with one of our doctors to evaluate the efficacy of a fetal monitoring system that patients can use at home. This technology originated in Israel and was brought to Henry Ford West Bloomfield by this doctor. The system is called Invu and is FDA-approved. This technology is especially pertinent now in the setting of COVID precautions. Using this, patients have been able to have fetal heart rate checks at home, so virtual visits have been possible. Moving forward, it is hoped that this study will substantiate the ability of patients to do Non-stress testing at home. Jennifer spent approximately 8 hours per patient for each of 11 patients in the study over a 4 week period in addition to doing her RN clinic duties in the Women's Health clinic at WB. On one particular patient who was being monitored at home with this system, a possible maternal cardiac problem was identified and required evaluation. Jennifer went above and beyond with the study with hopes that it will benefit our patients in the future. Thank you, Jennifer, for all your hard work and time spent on this study.
