Jennyfer is a member of the FBC/NICU Bereavement Team. When a baby passes, a member of the team does foot molds for the parents. It is a beautiful keepsake for them. COVID has taken so many lives and has been very stressful for the staff. Recently a NICU mother of twins passed as well as a NICU nurse's mother and father-in-law. Jennyfer wanted to create a lasting memory for the families involved.
After the NICU mom passed they went to MICU and made a beautiful hand mold. The patient's mother was so grateful.
After a married couple passed side by side in CVICU after one being in MICU for 2 months and the other spouse in CVICU, the staff and NICU nurse/daughter-in-law requested a mold. It was late Thursday evening. Jennyfer was called, who was out with her kids, and asked if she would advise her over the phone. Jennyfer didn't hesitate, she came right in to help. The request was for the couple holding hands to be cast. This was not an easy task but these two ladies did it like pros. The family was delighted to receive the casting of their loved ones.
