My husband had emergency surgery requiring an amputation. He had been in unrelenting pain for four months and was in horrible pain from the surgery on top of all that. Alison was his nurse during the day for three, maybe even four days. She was not only quietly compassionate, but she seemed to have a sixth sense about what my husband needed and she was always there when he needed her. She gave great advice and, as busy as she was, always listened carefully to what he was saying. She was kind and thoughtful and amazingly patient. If all nurses were like Alison, the hospital would be a better place. She made us feel like we were all part of the same team, concentrating on making my husband well. I can't say enough about this wonderful professional.
