Danielle came to visit me on her day off just to give me a hug and to check on me. This has been the worst situation I've ever encountered but Danielle helped to ease some of that pain.
I came in for a scheduled TFMR. The moment I walked through the door, Danielle was extremely helpful, warm, and giving. Once my doctor came in, I found out that Danielle asked to be my nurse after hearing my story. The day I checked in for my C-Section, I had a million questions. She took the time to walk me through the entire process. During my C-Section, she consistently talked to not only me but also my husband. He became slightly ill and she held both of our hands. Once my angel was delivered, she cared for him as if he were her child. My son, M, was diagnosed with a condition that had him born with his organs outside of his body. I didn't care. I wanted to see him and hold him. Danielle carefully wrapped him and placed him in my arms. There is no greater pain than holding your deceased baby, but Danielle presented him in such a peaceful way. She allowed me all the time I wanted to bond with my M. I desired pictures and footprints. While being transferred to my floor, Danielle took the time to dress and pose my son for pictures. She also filled out the certificate of life and wrote me a personal card. She stayed two hours after her shift ended to take special care of my son. She came and brought me a memory box with all of the props and things she used for his photoshoot. Danielle came to visit me on her day off just to give me a hug and to check on me. This has been the worst situation I've ever encountered but Danielle helped to ease some of that pain. She has a true gift for what she does and is an incredible asset to this hospital. I will never be able to thank her enough for how she has helped me through this difficult time.
