Angela arrived at the bedside with those wonderful curls, that sweet smile that made me feel at ease, gave me that confidence and awareness that I would not have been able to find alone.
The call came so suddenly for my daughter's transplant, we weren't expecting it but in one day we packed up and left. I was terrified of having to face everything alone because the family was not allowed to enter, even on the day of the surgery. When I arrived in the room, Angela arrived at the bedside with those wonderful curls, that sweet smile that made me feel at ease, gave me that confidence and awareness that I would not have been able to find alone. M, my daughter, is afraid of all the nurses, and when she sees them enter she begins to cry out loud. Instead, Angela entered my daughter's life with delicacy and slowly gained her trust. My daughter let herself be washed, she managed to play only with her, and often they played rattles, but above all, she made her smile, and when she is hospitalized that is really difficult to get her to do it. She's been through too much despite being so small. She needs people like Angela who take care of her, always positive and with a smile. There are few people who take their work with dedication and passion and she is one of them, a person who remains in your heart when you meet her kindness and delicacy. I thank her infinitely because she made us feel at home with simplicity, she never made us feel alone. She is truly a special person and she does her job with love.
