Constant, honest, available, informed, realistic, reassuring, welcoming: Heidi Hohmann has been an invaluable guide to me and my husband through my three rigorous lymphoma protocols: R-CHOP, RICE, and acalabrutinib (clinical trial, and now CAR-T. Heidi has understood my need for full information and has made sure that it has been available to me promptly. She has never compromised the truth of my situation while at the same time pointing out its hopeful prospects. She has made sure that my needs have been met in a timely way, whether those related to scheduling, outside activities, dealing with problems, and/or explaining medical procedures I didn't understand. She has been equally forthcoming with my husband, providing him with information and support when needed. Thus, our trust in her and her judgment has been an outstanding aspect of the support we've received at SCI and has made this extremely difficult and stressful time much easier.
