Kathryn is special! I never imagined that I would look forward to visiting a cancer treatment facility, but I most certainly do. To be sure, the care I receive at Halvorson Cancer Center is top shelf with many fine nurses providing exceptional care. Kathryn stands out even in such a prestigious group of her peers. Her care is impeccable, empathetic, and professional. Kathryn's greetings are joyous and loving. She looks for me in the outer lobby and comes out to check on me even though I may not have an appointment and am awaiting a trip to infusion. She has called me at home to make sure I am ok, she has held my arm and walked me down the hallway when I was less than stable. Kathryn has come running out of Hematology after hearing a loudspeaker code, fearing I had fallen. Kathryn makes me feel more than cared for, she makes me feel loved! Even family that have met Kathryn feel the same way. At times fighting cancer can be hell but having a nurse such as Kathryn is truly a blessing and Godsend. I am a lucky man.

I would like to recognize Kathryn for her sunny disposition, extra care (pediatric needle), Name, and face recognition (treats my mother like a person not just an old lady. She is a good nurse (gentle with needles).

This nurse is always amazing and happy with patients. She is great at uplifting their spirits when they come in. She improves morale and makes working here much more pleasant.
