The way Elim cares for her patients is the way in which I would hope someone would care for my mother. She is thoughtful, compassionate, and intelligent, and she advocates for her patients' needs.
As a teammate, she is helpful and hard-working. Even her pace is fast as she scurries through the halls to make use of her time and energy. I never see her sitting down when her teammates are busy or need a hand. When something is going awry, she is the first to respond and lend a helping hand.
Elim sees the person in the bed for who he or she is, as a human, not just a patient in a bed.
She is flexible and professional, always striving to learn more and be a better nurse. It is an off day when I do not see a smile shining on her face and her upbeat, positive personality is a gift to those around her.
