Michele was the first nurse I saw after being admitted for surgery - a hysterectomy that I was petrified to have. She was amazing - from talking to me to distract me while she started my IV to letting me know that the first day would be bad, but I'd feel so much better the next day. She was amazing, and I wasn't as scared. Then, there was a complication with my surgery - internal bleeding that led to a blood transfusion and a second surgery. Michele came to talk to me, even though she wasn't assigned to me and even gave me the larger IV I would need for the CT scan. Again, she calmed me down tremendously and stayed with me until they took me to X-Ray. Then, on Saturday morning she came to check on me, even though she wasn't working that day. I was blown away and so grateful. Michele is one of the kindest people I have ever met and clearly committed to her patients. A very, very scary time in my life was made much easier thanks to Michele.
