Teyanna was kind, she was always there if we needed her, and always aware of what was going on. She taught me every step of my son's care and made it so easy to understand.
Many times Teyanna went above and beyond for us. She advocated for my son when she saw something wasn't right. Wound care had ordered Aqua cell to put on my son's bad diaper rash, she immediately noticed that was incorrect. She took it upon herself to order the medication she knew was normally used in this situation. Thanks to her quick action, my son's bottom was no longer bleeding. She also noticed wrong orders for my son's feed scheduled. She took time out of her day to sit down and figure out a better schedule for him. My son did so much better, and she knew what worked for him. Even the dietician agreed with her plan. She was kind, she was always there if we needed her, and always aware of what was going on. Lastly, on the last day we had her, she noticed that I was tired and overwhelmed. She made sure everything was taken care of and then she came and took care of my son for an hour while I took a nap. No one cared as much as she did. Every nurse should thrive to be like her. We were so grateful to have her.
