Gloria is one of the day shift ICU charge nurses. Working with her when we are scheduled to work together over the years gives me the feeling of security, ease that she is always there whenever I have a question, need answers, or whenever I need her to give me opinions, advice on what our hospital policy says to do the right way. Even as simple as being there to lend me a hand when I need to reposition my patients, help with bathing a heavy total care, or vented patient. She is knowledgeable and always has solutions. She always develops meaningful relationships with her own patients and their families by answering their questions to explain their condition. She is very honest with her answers and goes above and beyond. She interacts with her patients and families and places them in the center of her care. She is for sure safe, sincere, and always does her best. She says, "Yes!" when someone asks for help.
