My husband was a patient and I remained with him 24/7 during his stay. During this time he had many nurses, all of whom were outstanding and a great credit to the nursing profession and ORMC (Garnet Health Medical Center). I would like to recognize Samantha, our nurse for the first nights of my husband's stay. He was admitted through the ER in excruciating pain from what proved to be a partial bowel obstruction plus a kidney stone. I don't have a particular situation or story to relate to; rather it was Samantha's wonderful manner throughout the time she cared for my husband that is so memorable. She is a lovely person who radiates a warmth and kindness that almost made it seem as though we were being tended to by a caring daughter. This, combined with her professional skills and responsiveness to every need, went a very long way towards relieving my husband's discomfort, and his and my anxiety and fears, and putting him on the road to recovery during the remainder of his stay. We are so grateful to her for this!
