Gabby goes above and beyond for her patients and their families. She made sure to explain everything she did to both my Dad and me. Even when my Dad was sedated and intubated, she treated him with respect and kindness. She spent a lot of time going over things and explaining my Dad's ventilator settings; my Dad had coded on X-mas eve and I was here with him visiting alone as my family is from PA. On X-mas day, all of the nurses and staff made me feel part of the holiday; having eaten the cafeteria food for 4 days, they even invited me and brought me a plate from their potluck X-mas lunch of homemade food. Gabby along with all the staff who cared for my Dad- treated me like family and most importantly they treated my dad - as they would treat their own family member. During his code- all of the staff were calm and knowledgeable and kept me in the loop. It's been a rough year and quite possibly the worst holiday this one. But I will be forever grateful for Gabby caring for my dad, easing my worries because I knew she treated him like family.
