Heather provided me comfort and guidance as I delivered my baby at home.
I am Labor and Delivery Nurse who ultimately became the patient for the worst reason. At 14 weeks I was unexpectedly miscarrying my 3rd pregnancy. There were so many questions...what do I do? What am I going to see? How am I going to get through this? How am I ever going to be able to do my job again? It was the worst/hardest moment of my life and there was one person who was there every step of the way.
Heather provided me comfort and guidance as I delivered my baby at home, came in on her day off on a Saturday night to walk me through the process of what would happen next, and has given me the comfort and courage to get back to doing the job I love. The thing I am most thankful for is when it was time for me to give up my baby, a baby I am never going to get to see again, I gave him to her. Not once did I ever worry about him or where he was because he was with her. I knew he was safe with her and that means the world to me to have that final memory of him.
