Dani was my husband's nurse when we were at a very critical time in his life. He was about to become fully paralyzed due to blacking out and falling in our kitchen. Dani showed compassion for what a true nurse depicts for her patients. I witnessed not only her care for my husband but the true spirit of what a nurse embraces every workday. Dani lifted the patient's and visitor's spirits through her fun and optimistic words and actions in the rooms. She is an outstanding person and nurse.

Dani gave over 100 percent to her patients. The gentleman in the room with my husband was in stage four cancer. His time on this earth was limited and Dani helped this gentleman feel just as important as anyone else. So not only did she care for my husband but also other patients with care and concern for their well-being.

In one instance, in particular, Dani prayed with my husband to help him not be so scared of what he was going through and facing after surgery. Her countenance with him was extraordinary. My husband felt better and more at peace after her prayer. You do not see many nurses doing that for their patients.

As Christians, we appreciated Danielle's efforts to calm my husband's fears. After surgery, Dani took excellent care of my husband. When he had to be moved to another floor Dani visited him after her 12-hour shift. Now that goes above and beyond what any nurse would do. She took her own time to check up on him and allowed him to feel important to her after the ordeal he was dealing with.

As a retired Educator and Public School Administrator, I witnessed Dani's work with students aspiring to become nurses. Dani's mentoring was exceptional and commendable. She was direct with the students but with caring guidance at the same time. As a former evaluator, I saw her vast experiences shine through with her expertise. And for this expertise, I thank her. Dani's professionalism is phenomenal and should be allowed to radiate with honor.
