My 69-year-old father was a patient in the ICU. He had been struggling with COVID and was having issues maintaining his oxygen. Angela is a nurse that works in the ICU and my father was blessed to have her as his nurse. As you all know, COVID is a horrible virus, and my Dad was in for the fight of his life. It was so hard because the nurses had to be our eyes and ears and keep us updated on the progress of my father. Angela showed so much compassion and empathy towards my father and our family.
When I spoke with Angela, it was like speaking with a family member. She never made me feel like a burden and went above and beyond with my Dad. He loved when she was going to be his nurse for the night. Angela was the nurse who was with my father when he went to his heavenly home. She held his hand and told him that his family loved him, and he was no longer going to be suffering and stayed with him until he passed away. Angela will always hold a special place in our hearts because she gave us peace and comfort during a time that seemed impossible. She told me my father went in peace and we couldn't ask for anything more. Angela is an exemplary nurse and should be commended. I can only wish that the world had more Angela's in it. Can you imagine what a wonderful world it would be?
