Paula represented the epitome of professionalism. Her demeanor was calm and welcoming. My experience with her regarding the insertion of my IV was one of the best ever.
I can't tell you how terrified I am of IVs because I've had so many bad experiences. However, Paula somehow gave me my first pain-free, worry-free IV ever. I told her I was nervous about an IV in the hand. She made accommodations for my arm, no problem, and was very friendly, calming, and considerate of my wants and worries. First person ever who really does an amazing job keeping me calm about needles and knew what she was talking about.

My wife was in for surgery and finding a vein for the IV has always been difficult as she has poor circulation. On several occasions, I have watched, helplessly as my wife cried after being stuck by needles in an attempt to find a vein. Paula did the best job I have ever seen. She took her time prepping the area and talked my wife through it. In the past, it has taken up to 45 minutes to get an IV port established. Paula was able to on the first try. It is clear how much she cares and wants to make the experience as pleasant as possible for her patients.

The vein whisperer - Paula. No one has been able to get any blood or IV in my left arm. Paula is not only friendly and accommodating, but she was also able to get a successful IV. She deserves a medal for that.

Paula represented the epitome of professionalism. Her demeanor was calm and welcoming. My experience with her regarding the insertion of my IV was one of the best ever. She met every check box. She introduced herself, put me at ease, explained the procedure thoroughly and her follow-through was exact. I am so apprehensive when it comes to IVs and have had so many bad experiences, it was a blessing that she was assigned to me. I am a retired nurse so those things stick out for me probably more than the average patient. Thank you, Paula, for being a superb nurse and solidifying my decision to continue receiving care at Mercy.

I was very worried about getting my IV because of previous bad experiences. Paula explained step by step what she was doing, very gentle and kind. She got my vein, first try, for that I am grateful. We need more kind, caring people like her in this work. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful. Thank you for the service you provided and your kindness.

Paula arrived to draw blood and was extremely bright and cheery putting me at ease immediately. She was very polite and caring. She took the time to communicate with me. I have had terrible experiences in the past with blood draws and she was compassionate but confident that she could draw my blood without issue. And she did!! Didn't even know she had finished. Service with a smile and completely skilled at her trade.

Paula was super amazing. She put in my wife's IV in one stick. She was super gentle, super-fast, and super kind. My wife is a hard stick and has had people stick her many times and made her cry. Not Paula, it was nothing at all. Paula is an asset to the team you have in the surgery area. I want to thank her for making a scary day less scary.
***
Paula was so kind. I am a very difficult IV stick and she was so professional and terrific with her technique. Normally, it takes at least 2-3 sticks and at worse 5 sticks. Paula inspires confidence.
***
Great bedside manner. Paula drew a blood sample, very quickly and I never felt the needle. She is a wonderful lady.
