Her mercy and grace were my strength when I had none of my own. Shelley will forever be in my heart and I hope my life!
I met Shelley when I was placed on the COVID-19 unit awaiting my COVID results. She picked up right where the night shift nurse left off. I was on the COVID unit for about 10-12 hours when I heard Shelley squeal, saying "it's negative! I knew she was negative!" As I looked toward my door the smile too large to be covered by a mask was peeping through the crack of my door. Shelley laughed and said, "did you hear me?" With my own smile, I replied "well yes" and once again I cried. Shelley was strong, encouraging, and loving, and she held me up during a very anxious and frightening time. Every moment she spoke Jesus to me and assured me I would be ok. Shelley displays the spirit not only of nurses but of Christ. Her mercy and grace were my strength when I had none of my own. Shelley will forever be in my heart and I hope my life! I love you, Shelley! God used you to minister to me. When my family could not be with me, God sent me a sister in Christ. Shelley, you were a special DAISY in my bouquet.
