I was unable to follow my birth plan, which included delivering in the Natural Birth Center. During this frustrating time, I met Leah, who was so friendly and able to put me at ease. She is like a bright light. During my admission, Leah explained every step of the induction plan and all the medications. She answered all of my questions without hesitation. She also knew my preference for a natural birth and was able to explain the pros and cons of an epidural without being pushy or judgmental.
Upon reaching full dilatation, my son's heart rate plummeted, and he was in distress. Leah immediately took charge and did everything in her power to get his heart rate up. I was so scared but didn't panic because of Leah's calm, reassuring presence. After my emergency C-section, she even stayed late to ensure that the baby and I were doing well. Leah truly cared about me and it showed. She is honestly one of the best nurses I have met. Her care was a bright spot during my traumatic birth experience. My husband and I often discuss how amazing Leah was, and how she really took care of all of us - my husband, son, and me. I can't explain how incredible she is and how lucky we were to have her as our nurse.
