Brittney treats all her patients as if they are her family and provides great care.
Brittney would make an excellent choice for the DAISY Award due to her diligence in monitoring her patients and ensuring the best possible care is provided. She is one of our night shift relief charge nurses and she precepts many of our new hires. She does an amazing job of communicating with different staff members, patients, and their families. She has an extraordinary eye for detail. She does not hesitate to question orders or discuss a patient's treatment with the care team if she has questions. She advocates for her patients daily. She will not hesitate in bringing up a subject if patient safety is in question. She treats all her patients as if they are her family and provides great care.
She is one of our nurses who takes the time to braid a patient's hair if they are on a ventilator so that it does not get matted. She regularly performs tasks like this that would personally matter to me if I were in the hospital. Brittney encourages our new team members and pushes them to think critically before she provides any of her own incite. She can safely take care of any type of patient in the hospital and her skills are unprecedented.
