It is a real acknowledgment for a staff like Josiya to be nominated for a DAISY Award. I know her personally and professionally since I joined. Her commitment, compassion, excellence, and professionalism made me wonder. Even though in very crucial situations like understaffing, over an influx of patients in all these scenarios, she is always sure to get positive feedback from patients regarding her. "Her smile and her healing touch" was quoted by one patient during my rounds.
Though Josiya passed through many critical situations in her personal life, she never gave up and never showed, at any time, that she was going through a tough time in her face, she is always charming and positive. She took the groundwork as a "front liner" during this pandemic without any hesitation, though she is a mother of four. She raised her patient concerns as her own, she talked to her patients. Her outstanding dedication and genuine care always, make her extraordinary. I wish for this selfless human being, for her relentless and compassionate care, to be recognized and rewarded.
