Bre had been caring for a patient with mental health issues and previous hospital admissions. Bre was aware that the patient had no clothes or personal belongings with her this admission. Upon discharge, the patient called her mother to see if she had clothes with her or if her mother could bring clothes to the hospital. The patient remembered Bre bringing a large bag to her a few days ago. In the bag, Bre provided the following items to the patient:
• Shampoo and Conditioner
• Dove Soap and Lotion
• Hair detangler
• Crest Toothpaste and Toothbrush
• Hair Brush
• 5 pair of underwear
• 3 sports bras
• 5 pair of socks
• 2 pair of leggings
• 2 shirts
• Beautiful beige fleece (per the patient)
• Slippers
All of these items were new with tags. After cleaning up and dressing, the patient came to the nurse's station smiling and asking everyone to see how nice she looked. This was such a show of compassion from Bre!
