You can tell that the patient comes first for Robin.
Robin Burns came into my room tonight to tell me, "Bye." She might not work again until Thursday, and if all goes well, I will get discharged on Tuesday. She has not only been my nurse on this trip to the hospital, but she has been my nurse before. See, with my Spina Bifida, I am in and out of the hospital a lot. She has been my nurse many times. She knows my mom and me when she sees us or sees my name on her list of patients. She is the epitome of a great nurse. She check's on me regularly, as she does with all of her patients. I never wanted for anything. Right as my IV bag was emptying, she would come in with a new one. When I needed more antibiotics, she would walk in with them in her hand. I'll bet she does a lot when she should be at lunch or on a break. You can tell that the patient comes first for her. She is nice. She listens. She is comforting. When she speaks, her voice makes being in the hospital, not so "scary." She is my favorite nurse.
