I was recently hospitalized and transferred to Transitional Care due to diabetes and lung issues. With no income and no insurance, this extraordinary woman helped me apply for charity care to be able to get my PET scan, helped me find a PCP, and located coupons to help me acquire my insulin and prescriptions. She also went above and beyond and helped me apply for a year's worth of free insulin through Novo-Nordisk. She also took the time to truly listen to me and my situation. Because of her genuine care and exceptional help, I am now receiving treatment for multiple auto-immune disorders and on medication that I would have otherwise not been able to afford. Amanda is always very caring and takes her time with every patient. She has gone to great lengths multiple times to get patient's assistance with financial forms or medication assistance. She has always accepted additional duties when asked such as assisting the infection preventionist with COVID-19 results, calls, and spreadsheets. She has most recently trained to perform in case management and is always willing to do whatever needs to be done to make sure our patients have what they need.
