Even patients that have been "difficult" for everyone else, Tamara has a way with them.
There are not enough words to explain why Tamara is a DAISY Nurse. She is the most compassionate person, not just nurse, I have ever known. I have learned so much from her over the years. She is patient, genuine, dependable, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The care she provides patients and fellow team members is like no other. When we need help on the unit all we have to say is, "Hey, Tamara," and she is offering help before we can even ask her for it.
Whether it is coming in for an extra day (some weeks working up to 5 days), switching a shift, complete an admission database, pass a med, or take a patient water. If there is something you need help with, she is there. I truly believe she would give anyone the shirt off her back if needed, and probably her shoes too. She never complains, always has a smile and a positive attitude. She always knows what is going on with our unit especially our team members. She is someone everybody can talk to and often team members confide in her not just about things going on at work but also things going on in their personal life.
Even patients that have been "difficult" for everyone else, Tamara has a way with them. She has been a source of strength for me and has allowed me to fall apart in her presence and she listens and always seems to know how to respond. We are so lucky and privileged to have her as a team member and I am so grateful for her, she has made me feel like part of her family. She is a truly amazing person her being there and helping everyone is just who she is, she genuinely cares and does not do anything just for the accolades. She is a blessing to our unit.
