Otela is by far one of the best nurses I have ever seen. She is very professional and kindhearted. Her bedside manner would be hard to beat. She is very knowledgeable in her profession, and she is very quick to respond when needed. She stays on the task at hand until everything is under control.
My mother's blood pressure was extremely high all day and Otela stayed on top of it, watching, and medicating my mother until she got her blood pressure under control. She made my mother's stay here much better because she was her nurse. She stayed on top of my mother's care at all times. Her professionalism and her bedside manner go far above anything I have ever seen. If all nurses' were like her and so efficient it would make a patient's stay much better.

Otela is a bright ray of sunshine. She is smart, articulate, always working for ways to help her patients. She is compassionate, goes above and beyond to make sure that all my husband's needs were met. She provided educational materials about his procedure and answered all his questions. She is an asset to your hospital, not only did she care for her patients, but she also made sure that the family members were at ease.
She is also working to better herself by continuing her education to obtain her BSN as well as striving to become a nurse practitioner. Her advancement will not only make the hospital better statistically but will allow her to become even better with her patients. She displays love, kindness, skills, determination, effort, and all-around goodness! What a treasure you have! What a wonderful hospital experience. Please honor and cherish her.
