The comfort Sarah was able to give my wife, I know was instrumental in her recovery.
My wife came into the hospital with trouble breathing. It was discovered that she had a pulmonary embolism. Her pain and discomfort were unbearable and when Sarah came on at shift she saw the full extent of her pain. She responded with care and compassion and did everything she could to help my wife get comfortable and make sure she didn't get to that point again. She used her knowledge and skills to ensure my wife's pain was under control and continued to show the same level of compassion that has been rare to see in experiences in the hospital. She was genuine and really showed a form of personal interest that stood out to both me and my wife.
When it was time for shift change, Sarah ensured the next nurse knew what had been going on and made sure we were set before she left. Sarah also worked the night shift and continued her amazing care for my wife. The comfort she was able to give my wife, I know was instrumental in her recovery. It also gave me a great sense of relief knowing she was there for my wife while she was going through a horrible time. I'm sure she would say she's just doing her job, but she went above and beyond. This hospital and the patients here are lucky to have her.
