Sandra was nominated by a nurse leader that was mentored by her in many ways. The nominator said that it is impossible to count all the help and assistance that was given to her to grow not just as a leader but as a person. She was guided and trained to handle problems and issues with wisdom and fairness, and this is the reason why she also excels as a nurse leader. The nominator further said that she admired Sandra as a nurse leader. She is tough when needed, a good communicator, and intelligent without a doubt! She lifts up, molds, and encourages all those with the potential to lead to be successful like her.
The nominator said that she witnessed how Sandra helped those staff from other departments or units, or outside nurses to show their best potential. She remembers during the Nursing Symposium that she was helping and teaching those nurses from other units on how and what to present. The true happiness can be seen on her face when she saw the staff she mentored is successful.
