On Thursday, February 11, 2021, Tiffany escorted one of her patients to the emergency department who was going to see her primary care physician. The patient recently survived a very horrific event and Tiffany knew the story so she stayed with the patient and made sure our staff was made aware of the patient's very delicate situation. When the patient was brought back to her room here in the Emergency Department, Tiffany stayed with her, prayed with her, hugged her, and did everything to make sure this patient felt safe at all times.
Tiffany showed 100% empathy for this patient at a time the patient was not able to advocate for herself. Without going into any details, this patient needed to know that she was safe and Tiffany did that and beyond.The caring compassion that I witnessed brought me to tears and I stopped and prayed for the patient and also thanked God that this patient had a nurse like Tiffany to be with her when she needed it the most.
This story and this situation touched me on a personal level.Thank you Tiffany for being such a compassionate nurse and for making sure this patient felt safe. You are appreciated.
