My precious grandson had a double pectus surgery and at 15 years old had body image issues and shyness around women. But Katie was our hero. She put him and me at ease. She seemed to anticipate when my grandson had a question that he was too nervous to ask, and she would explain to him, so he didn't have to ask. Taking out a 15-year-old boy's catheter can be very embarrassing. She made it easy and comfortable for him. Everyone here went out of their way for us! But Katie just seemed to go twice as far. It's hard to explain. It's like the kindness, thoughtfulness, willingness, and desire to help heal are hard-wired in her heart and soul. You are lucky to have her.
