Maria was my nurse for 2 full day shifts on mother/baby. What I loved about her was 1.) Proactive, 2.) Kind, 3.) Knowledgeable, and 4.) Attitude.

1.) Proactive: at the start of each shift, she would let us know about the plan for the day, what to expect about each task and when to expect meds and tests. This was so helpful for us and how to plan our day here.
2.) Kind: she has a kind way of talking and helping and is so approachable and easy to get to know!
3.) Knowledge of care: We had to give our son phototherapy which we've never seen before. She clearly gave us answers to our questions and even offered tips to make it easier for him. This was so helpful, and we could tell she was taking extra time and care to ease our anxieties.
4.) Attitude: even though she had a mask on, we always could tell, she had a smile on her face and made the day light up with her positivity.
On our third day here, she got called off, so she wasn't going to take care of us and we honestly missed having her as a nurse. Thank you, Maria, for all that you did.
