I feel United Hospital and the Orthopedic Program are blessed to have such a caring, thoughtful, and knowledgeable person on the team.
Thank you Dani for all you do! We appreciated the numerous phone calls you made to help my Aunt (80 years old), prepare for her "Total Knee Replacement" surgery. This was Aunt's second knee surgery - this time her left, and so much has changed in the last 14 months due to COVID:
1. Not going to TCU after surgery, but home
2. New ortho homecare programs
3. Paramedic home assessment
4. COVID test before surgery
5. Online communication & forms through the patient portal
6. No visitors/family members with Aunt while in the hospital
Thank you for helping us navigate all the changes and smooth out the bumps in the road with the new home assessment and the unfortunate situation when she was accidentally turned away from her scheduled pre-surgery COVID test and told to "come back tomorrow." We were so impressed with your follow-up, follow-through, and timeliness in resolving the issues. You were professional, respectful, and supportive. Great service recovery! I am sure we were not your only patient, but we felt as if we were the only person in your care. Thank you again.
I feel United Hospital and the Orthopedic Program are blessed to have such a caring, thoughtful, and knowledgeable person on the team. The RN Nurse Navigator position is valued by both the patient and family. We feel very prepared for pre-op, surgery, and recovery. Wishing you and your loved ones a happy, healthy and peaceful 2021!
