Autumn genuinely cares about the patient and whoever the person is assisting them
We want to express to you our appreciation for Ascension at Home nurse Autumn Vander Velden. The patient is usually very reserved with people, but Autumn worked with him, took time to talk to him and find out how he was doing. He liked to joke with her and even asked her to straighten a stain glass picture in the window which was hanging crooked and bothering him. This went above and beyond her duties as a nurse and was very much appreciated by the patient. She certainly is deserving of recognition for her compassion and competence.
Autumn has a good nursing manner. She genuinely cares about the patient and whoever the person that is assisting them. She answers questions in a way that helps you to understand. You can tell she loves her job and cares about the people that she works with. We feel very blessed and fortunate that she was assigned to us.
She gave understandable answers for questions asked, gave further explanation when needed without making anyone feel remedial when they did not understand.
All in all she is a very good, caring, friendly and smiling person.
