From a young age, it was her dream to become a nurse. In 2017, she fulfilled that dream and graduated from Galen College of Nursing, with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Currently, she is working towards earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an expected graduation date in August 2021. After earning a BSN, her professional goal is to continue her nursing education and earn an MSN with a focus in Public Health.
As a Primary Care RN, she serves as an advocate and liaison for every patient. She focuses on teaching and implementing preventative measures such as education on health maintenance, vaccination, with an emphasis on chronic disease education on diet, exercise, and lifestyle. During the pandemic, she worked performing tele-visits and supported patients remotely. She also performed front door screening and assisted with walk-in patients in the clinic. She has a passion for teaching and educating my patients on ways to prevent, manage, and control chronic disease. She also currently serves as the Secretary of the Ambulatory Care Shared Governance Council at NYC H+H/Woodhull.
