While Kristen was working on Labor and Delivery, she answered an incoming phone call from a patient in need. The patient was despondent and was in danger of harming herself. Kristen calmly kept the patient on the phone and worked with the MD and Social Workers through writing notes. She was able to remain calm and keep the patient talking. Through her conversation, the team was able to assess where the patient was located and was able to send help. This patient is currently receiving the help she needed due to the actions of the entire team and through Kristen's awareness and ability to assess the situation and prevent this patient from harm.
