Sean is always willing to help and share his professional and personal knowledge.
I would like to nominate Sean Mullen RN for the DAISY Award. He has been working and part of the RWJUH Somerset family for more than 30 years. I have been working with Sean for more than 16 years and I see him the same as always, calm and helpful. You can approach him with any doubts/questions, and he is always ready to provide answers. If he does not know then he will find out and will get back to you and help you. If there is an RRT or code, he will be the first person who comes, helps, and carries out the emergency situation. He cares for his patient and always goes above and beyond to make sure the patient receives the best and safe care. He builds a good rapport with his patients/families, spends time to know them, and makes sure they get appropriate care.
I am very happy to work with him and feel confident that I can reach out and ask for help in need of patient care. He is always the person to reach out to start a difficult IV. Sean is always willing to help and share his professional and personal knowledge with everyone around him. He works with the team easily without any conflicts. He keeps a good professional relationship with doctors, nurses, management leaders, and other hospital employees. He participates in many councils and he serves as the chairperson for our UBC. He has many ideas and shares them with the team to improve our hospital, unit, and patient care. I honestly believe he deserves the DAISY Award because of his dedication to his nursing profession and the years of service to our organization and patient care.
