My mother's condition began to decline. She was in respiratory distress. I received a call from Morgan, her nurse, updating me on what was going on. Morgan ended up following care of my mother to the ICU that day. I am very impressed with Morgan's assessment skills and the compassion she showed my mother. My mom was very adamant about not wanting to be intubated. My mother was a retired OR nurse and was familiar with what was going on. Morgan not only kept me informed throughout the day, but was also so good with my mother. I got to meet Morgan when I came in that afternoon. I saw first hand how she cared and took the time to answer questions for me and my mom. After we spoke to my mother about the intubation, my mom finally agreed to it. Morgan reassured us and was very helpful on so many levels. She was very professional and never seemed rushed or bothered by our questions and concerns. I felt like her assessment skills helped my mom get the care she needed at the time.
