Daniella is the epitome of going above and beyond. In many instances, she has stepped out of her comfort zone to help her other colleagues. She is an LVN but she functions in such a high capacity. Whatever is needed in the clinic she gets it done with no questions asked. Our clinic functions so well partly because she is the leader and makes sure everything is done.
I started off by saying she is an LVN but in all actuality, she is so much more. She a supporter, patient advocate, employee advocate, leader, and she inspires her coworkers every single day. She is always here for her patients and they absolutely love her. Most patients come in to see the doctor, but her patients are heartbroken when they come in for their doctors' visit and she's not her that day. You can hear phrases like, "Where's my nurse? I wasn't feeling so good, so I was looking for her smile to brighten my day."
Daniella goes above and beyond helping to get patient's alternative financial assistance for help with their medicines or stays late to make additional phone calls when patients aren't able to get in for specialty appointments. And the best thing is she never complains. I wouldn't even know she was doing these things because it's her first nature, so she never speaks about it. Patients just return to tell her thanks and her colleagues hear them. She always says "it's nothing" but it really is something! Her stewardship is unmatched!
In addition to these things she basically runs the clinic. She takes care of her doctor's patients and when she's done she does previsit planning for her coworkers because they are usually still working. She doesn't brag about it, she just gets the job done. She's responsible for our ordering of vaccines, most calls and in-baskets, walk-ins, and numerous chart audits. Daniella really is amazing and to see her in her element is something to be admired. I cannot say enough about Daniella Cifuentes but one thing I do know is that she would be honored to be a recipient of your prestigious DAISY Award!
