Linda went above-and-beyond with a challenging patient. Due to dementia, this elderly patient was agitated and combative, requiring 1:1 supervision and security intervention. When medication and other interventions failed, Linda came to the bedside to communicate in a very calm demeanor. She played music from the patient's generation and even sang and danced for the patient. The patient immediately became calmer and even smiled. This is not the first time I have witnessed this type of unique interaction. Linda is an exemplary Nurse who always goes above-and-beyond for her patients and co-workers.
