My husband was recently directly admitted from his Oncologist's office for a neutropenic fever after his first round of chemotherapy. Ensar was his Nurse upon admission, who quickly and swiftly cared for my septic husband. Our journey in recent months has been very difficult with many complications in the process of my husband's medical care. Ensar was kind and caring, addressing the issues my husband felt were most important, but also balancing the needs of the medical providers. As a physician myself, I appreciated the way Ensar cared for my non-medically-trained husband, walking him through every step of the process. Ensar met him where he was at, but still got all of the components of his medical care completed while not overwhelming my husband, who had little bandwidth for processing at that time.
My husband's medical providers also commented on how thorough and on top of care Ensar was, from facilitating a smooth admission to discharge. We were so relieved to have Ensar as our Nurse for three of his five days in the hospital.
Ensar is a special breed. My husband has spent the last three months in and out of hospitals in Lincoln and Omaha. He has had many, many Nurses and has faced a hellish course of surgery, chemo, and complications. Ensar was a bright and kind light who helped us navigate the nightmare we are currently living.
