Michelle's patient has been an inpatient for 42 days, from being intubated in ICU with COVID to MDU. The patient was not allowed to have visitors due to his COVID positive diagnosis. Today, 8/26/20, is he and his wife's wedding anniversary. Michelle noticed the patient feeling depressed and sad from not being able to see his wife today. Michelle started coloring pictures of roses to put in the patient's room, as roses were what the patient always gifted to his wife on this special day. Michelle displays so much compassion and love to her patients - it just can't go unrecognized. I am so proud to work alongside of her. Michelle, you are an incredible nurse.
